Interior Design FAQ

What Is Your Design Style?

I really don’t design with specific style. Whether it’s traditional, or contemporary, I take the personal style of the client and make it as cohesive and impressive as possible for a stunning end result.

What does your involvement in our project look like?

In addition to providing design services for the scope of my clients’ projects, I do all the dirty work. Rain, shine, or snow, I make frequent site visits and take several meetings with the contractor and sub-contractors to ensure the project is on track. I act as the client’s advocate and communicate their wishes to all trades involved with their project.

Do I have to use your services for my entire project?

I’m happy to help with any facet of your home you need assistance with. Whether it’s designing your entire home, or helping to pick out a table lamp, there is no scope too big or small.

What are your business practices and values?

I believe in honesty, hard work, and happy clients. When the first two are evident, the third is typically guaranteed. I practice 100% transparency with my clients, making all of my timesheets, mark-ups, and purchase documents available to them if they request it.

Can you help me with all of the ‘small things’?

Yes! I can assist with the selection, purchase, and installation of all your furniture and accessories. As a designer, I have relationships with a number of trades that provide me with a discount that I pass along to my clients.

Do you design kitchens and bathrooms?

Absolutely! I work hand in hand with my clients to select their appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, tile, flooring, and countertops. I also take the time to dive into the specific requirements my clients have for their spaces and provide layouts for those spaces accordingly. I marry form and function in a way that works the best for my clients.

What does your fee structure look like?

I work with clients using an hourly fee or a fixed fee. Most clients work with me using an hourly-not-to-exceed format. I take the square footage, project scope, and specific needs of the client into consideration. Then I provide a proposal dictating either a capped amount that is worked towards on an hourly basis and billed monthly or at the rate of services rendered, or a fixed fee that will be billed in monthly increments.
